Spinex Team

Our goal is to get you out of pain.  If you have been diagnosed with a herniated disc or other disc problem and manual therapy and exercise are not enough, the next step before invasive treatments is IDD Therapy Spinal Decompression.

IDD Therapy is the at the heart of what we do at Spinex.  It is the treatment which saved the career of Clinic Director Sally Landsale who suffered for years with a disc problem before she had IDD Therapy at a colleague’s clinic.

We offer a free 15 minute discussion to have an informal conversation about the treatment or you can book a standard IDD Therapy Consultation.  This may also include a ViMove Assessment at no charge.

How does IDD Therapy work?

IDD Therapy is the leading non-surgical spinal decompression treatment.  It is a computer-directed spinal rehab programme which relieves pressure on targeted spinal discs and at the same time gently restores mobility in the vertebral segments.

IDD Therapy is combined with manual therapy and exercise with the twin goals of relieving pain and restoring function.

We use IDD Therapy to treat low back pain, neck pain and sciatica where there is an underlying disc problem:

  • Herniated Disc
  • Slipped Disc
  • Prolapsed Disc
  • Bulging Disc
  • Sciatica and nerve pain in the arms

Each treatment lasts for one hour.

We begin with ten minutes of soothing heat, then you spend 25-26 minutes having IDD Therapy on our SPINA machine and afterwards we apply some cold therapy.  This is to help prevent soreness which can occur as the tissues adapt to treatment as part of the healing process.

Most people come to Spinex to get out of pain.

However we want to avoid the common cycles of pain, so during the programme we will look at the factors which, over time, may have contributed to your current condition.

Therefore we will look at a variety of factors and give you guidance and treatment as required.

Our Team

Sally Lansdale is the clinical director at Spinex. Having suffered with back pain on and off throughout her career as a result of a disc problem, Sally experienced such a life transformation with IDD Therapy that she committed her practice to it.

Tyler and Francesco are responsible for the day to day care of our patients and back pain and neck pain represent the bulk of their case load.

We see patients who can’t sleep, they have trouble bending or moving and the pain is not going away.

You may be suitable for IDD Therapy if you have any of the following:

  • Have back pain, neck pain or nerve pain for more than 3 months
  • Have tried manual therapy and treatment is not working
  • Want to avoid invasive treatments e.g surgery
  • Have had an injection but still in pain
  • Do not require emergency surgery
  • Regularly take pain medication

If you have tried other treatments and been in pain for more than three months, we offer a Free 15 Minute Discussion either on the phone or at the clinic or you can book a 45 Minute IDD Therapy Consultation to get started.

Spinex is located just two minutes from Edgware Road tube station.
